What is your favorite in VEGAS??

The hubby and I are planning a long weekend

getaway in Sin City in a few months..

Its been FOREVER since I have been

{heck, the Wynn wasn't even built when I was there last!}

I would LOVE suggestions on..

where to stay?

where to eat?

what shows are your favorite?

Last night I asked friends on FB about hotels

and got lots of great suggestions...

Places I probably wouldn't of thought about!

Any and All suggestions are appreciated!!!

Thank you!

  1. I love Vegas!...I was there in May at the Vdara, I'll be there in two weeks at the Bellagio, and in September at the Aria. I personally love the Aria...they have beautiful rooms, tons of great restaurants and lounges and it's in the City Center which is the newest area of the strip. I've heard the Cosmopolitan is nice. Last year I stayed at the honestly wasn't my favorite. Love the Venetian and Caesar's. As far as places to eat I'm a bit at a loss...most of the time when we go it's for private parties and I don't have the opportunity to sample restaurants' standard menus.

    Have fun!!

  2. I know we just talked about this yesterday on the phone, but just to "chime" in...
We LOVE MGM, although it is kinda on one side of the strip. Our thought on Vegas is I would rather have more money to play with and shop with, than to spend it on a nice hotel/room where you only pass out! We also found out that if you want to visit other hotel's pools, you can pay about $10 (Mandalay Bay's price) for a day use. That is something we would have taken advantage of while there last week, but the Miss USA pageant was in town and it was CRAZY at the other pools! YUCK. So think about where on the strip you want to stay, in relation to the other casinos you want to visit, then GO HAVE FUN! Plus, it is in October so you will have plenty of time to think it over and pick a fun place. We will REALLY try to drive over and meet up with you guys while you are there!!!

  3. I haven't stayed at the Aria, but my father and sister have and had only good things to say about it!! I've always been a fan of the Bellagio, as well as the Palazzo. Plus the location of both are pretty clutch! For food, if you are a sushi fan, I love LOVE the sushi place in Treasure Island- Khotan. I also went to Mario Batali's restaurants (one is in the Palazzo and one is in Venetian) and they were good, though pricey. Cirque du Soleil shows are always a must and I highly HIGHLY recommend either "O" or "Ka"....both were AMAZING!!!

  4. Well I just moved here last year, so I have learned a few things :) I would probably stay at one of the cheaper strip hotels, so you have more money to play with. Excalibur, Luxor, Treasure Island and Bally's are usually nice enough with good prices. Look at For cheaper buffet/dinner prices, and show tickets, go to a TIX 4 TONIGHT booth first thing in the morning. They open at 9 AM. Best people watching place to eat: CABO WABO at Planet Hollywood. Play Wheel of Fortune, only the big wheels that sit around in a circle. Never play table games on the strip unless its at Casino Royale ($3-5 min bet), Bill's Gambling Hall, Riveria, Circus Circus, OShea's, Imperial Palace. They make look seedy, but you will lose your money alot faster at tables with $10-20 min bets! TRUST ME. Play roulette :) All the aforementioned seedy hotels have $1 margs at the bar too!

If you can, go to Fremont Street in old Vegas one night. If just for the coin operated slot machines, truly amazing people watching experience and the EXPERIENCE light show. Also, if you plan on staying for a week. Rent a car. It will save you in taxis and parking is free at every single hotel in Vegas. Seriously, never pay for a taxi or parking!

    Have Fun :)
