13th Annual Girls Weekend

This past weekend was my 13th Annual Girls weekend!

This year was a little different with being pregnant...

I just made it down for the day, not the whole weekend..

I have a feeling going out each night just

wouldn't be the same without cocktails flowing..

I made it down to see the girls on Saturday, where we

ate, shopped, got pedicures, shopped and ate some more :)

neither of them have EVER missed this weekend
so we have no excuses for No-Shows.. lol

Will baby W be a Girl or Boy {test 1}

Saturday morning we work up early for a busy day

Dylan and I were chatting in bed

for a bit after the alarm went off..

Dylan "Are you still thinking about that IntelliGender thing?"

Me " Ya, ....... are you?"

Dylan "Should we try it?'

Me "Well, YA!! but I thought you didn't"

Dylan "I'll go to the store"

Me "Ok!.. " {giggle}

About 15 min later Dylan came home with:

The test is pretty easy

It comes with 3 things

• pee cup
• syringe
• test jar

The jest of the test is you take the first pee of the morning from

your pee cup with the syringe and insert 20 ml it to the top of your "test jar"

You then swirl in a circular motion for 10 seconds

and wait... 10 minutes

you will see the jar turn orange for a girl

or dark green for a boy

{as you can see below}

about 5 min later we could tell it was not orange...

So that must mean... GREEN! BOY, oh BOY!!

With all that being said..
we did this {$35} test
JUST FOR FUN!
We aren't running out and buying
everything blue under the sun.. lol
We will find out {for real} in less that 2 months!

So my friend Juliana over at

mentioned to me that she took

IntelliGender at 13 weeks pregnant with

her son and IT WORKED!!!

I have been online Googling it

all last night.. and it looks legit!! lol

The way it works is you test your first urine

of the day after you are past 10 weeks pregnant

and it turns orange/red for a girl

or blue/green for a boy!

fool proof.. RIGHT??!!

I think we might go and get it this weekend..

The past week..

Where do I start..

the past few days have seemed like a whirlwind
Between telling people were pregnant, work

and other events we have NOT stopped!

I cant start to explain how happy I have been and

the overwhelming joy that has been expressed

from friend and family, I was not expecting all this :)

Wednesday:

We had my first doctor apt at 10am

It was almost 2 hours long

I LOVE my doctor!

He was great and very nice, epically with

all the questions I had..

We heard the heartbeat,

which made it a little more real..

{I think epically with my husband}

Thursday:

I had lunch with a friend Heidi at Pannera

{my new favorite lunch spot!!}

That afternoon I was surprised by my

Sweet friend Julia with these..

She brought me a dozen pink roses, 2 balloons

and a very sweet card from her and her husband!

{were trying to peer pressure her and her hubby in to trying soon! lol}

That afternoon we celebrated my pug

Jackson's 10th birthday!!

him home.. he was 5 weeks old!

JACKSON'S STORY:

I was looking for a puppy cause I was about to graduate

college, when I saw this litter I fell in LOVE!

Jackson was the runt of the litter and had a straight tail
The breeder had to move in the next few weeks

cause she had been relocated for her job and

was going to discount him by $150 from the other puppies..

He had the best personality, how could I say no!

I took him home and bottle fed him with goats

milk for a few weeks.. till I weened him to wet food.

That, I think, officially makes him my baby :)

Friday:

Was nice and relaxing day

Dylan took me out to Mexican food for dinner

Its been a long time since I haven't had a

Margarita at Chevy's.. lol

Saturday:

We headed to the beach to work for the first

official day of SPRING BREAK!

Its always a fun work day when I bring my hubby!

We headed back to Portland for a night out with

Dylans cousins that were in town for the night!

Sunday:

Another busy day at work..
We ended the weekend with a yummy 5 course

dinner made by my cousin at my Aunt and Uncles.

What a great way to celebrate!

They had flowers, cards, presents and sparkling cider

from France to toast to our little bundle of joy on the way.

This has been such an amazing experience..

who came and saw me at work this weekend!

WERE EXPECTING A BABY!!!

yep, some of you were right on Wednesday!

This has been such a hard secret to keep..

we found out the night before Super Bowl

{That will be another post}
We were so happy to be able to hear the

strong heartbeat on St. Patricks Day

How far along? 10 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: probably gain 4lbs, I think it was all in the first week I found out! lol
Maternity clothes? Nope
Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep: Yes! I have been sleeping about 9 hours a night
Best moment this week: hearing the heartbeat
Have you told family and friends: Yes!

Movement: Nope
Food cravings: mostly when grocery shopping.. lol
What I miss: Having a Guinness on St Patricks Day!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope! luckily I haven't been sick at all!
Have you started to show yet: No, just feeling bloated
Gender prediction: we both think boy but I have totally said SHE a few times
Labor Signs: Nope
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: happy but Im kinda emotional..
Weekly Wisdom: Find your doctor early! I was fortunate to be able to get the OB I wanted! He is one of the best in Portland and hard to get.
Milestones: I guess looking for some classes to take with my hubby, lamas, parenting and exercise.

Wedding Wednesday/ Wishful Wednesday

'I wish' .... I could wear/could have worn _____ dress on my wedding day!

Well, lets start for the beginning..

{I was/am obsessed with Monique Lhuiller}

When I started on the hunt for my wedding dress I had

a few in mind that I really wanted to try on..

First was Christine Baumgartners dress

{Kevin Costner's wife}

I loved her dress but it was SOOO heavy!

{and a little out of my price range $12,000}

Next up was Pink's wedding dress

again I loved this dress but the top was the issue

a little too low cut for me and was going to take

about 6-9 months to remake the top.

If I was going to walk down this isle this year

I would love to have either of these dresses..

First up Molly from the Bachelors dress.

So pretty!!

But in all honesty..

I would DIE for Heidi's dress..

UGH!
I LOVED her dress..
It just seemed so pretty, light and flowy

But with all that said

I loved my MY Monique Lhuiller dressI chose a style called Snow White

The dress was so soft and comfortable

I could have worn for another 12 hours :)

I switched it up a little by changing the sash

between the ceremony and reception

from a Champagne to Black!

Weekend

Is the weekend over?

UGH!
This was a fun weekend full of movies and friends

Friday night I was still at the beach so
I enjoyed movie night with my parents!
we watched

Law Abiding Citizen

super good suspenseful movie

totally recommend it!

Saturday I worked for a few hours at the gallery

then headed home to see my hubby!

I was home fairly early so we decided to

go check out a new movie!

The Crazies

OMG

We loved it!

it defiantly gave us a few good jumps in the theater

Sunday morning we woke up early

Dylan had a friend come over and pick up his fish tank

(tear)

I was in disbelief when he told me he was getting rid of it..
{we had a 30 gallon tank with 10 African cichlids}

It is a big commitment and takes up a lot of room in our house

I will miss our little fishys but will be happy were not

stressing about them when were gone for our week long

vacations we take a few times a year :)

I know they are going to a loving home!
After we said our goodbyes

we headed out for a busy afternoon!

First off we had lunch at California Pizza Kitchen

{it was my first time eating there

It was ok, probably not my favorite pizza}
We then walked around the pretty, outside Bridgeport Mall

AND I DIDN'T BUY ANYTHING AT Z GALLERY..

My husband thinks it was a first for me! lol

We then headed over to the movie theater to meet my cousin
where we saw..

Alice in Wonderland

at IMAX in 3-D

I have heard all my friend hype it up over the weekend

and say how wonderful it is...

I think I was expecting a little more.

I thought on a scale of 1-10

it was a 7.

After the movie I ran downtown to meet up with some

friends for mani's and pedi's at Dosha Spa :)

The boys had some beers at McMenamins while they

waited for us during our 2 1/2 hour appointment.

We ended the night at home catching up on our DVR
