Portland Saturday Market

Today we went down to Saturday Market. It was my first visit that I can remember. I cant believe I have lived in the Portland area for about 10 years and have never been....
We walked around for a few hours, looked at wonderful Oregon made crafts and had a great lunch. I even spotted a few vendors that we carry at the gallery! I introduced myself to a few of them, had great conversations, and even got some free stuff!
Were going to try to visit it a few more times this summer!
The weather was perfect... no rain =)

We were busy taking photos of all the sandcastles... we forgot to take one of us!
My moms neighbor took this one of us, I think Dyl had just taken his first bite =)

2009 Town Photo!
Were on the left side in front!

Wednesday, June 10, 2009

Last night Dylan and I raced down to the beach for the town photo.
Dylan had to stay at work late and then we hit the 5 o'clock rush, so we were running a little late.
We are very grateful the town waited for us...
Sounds a little funny but they were literally yelling out names from a megaphone as we ran on to the beach at 7:09pm.
I will post the TOWN PHOTO as soon as I get it!
Dylan and I very happy we made it

Untitled Crowley Project

Early Thursday afternoon a man came into Rep Boone's office in Salem. He started telling me a "movie" was being filmed in the Representatives district and would live to extend an invitation to her and her office to visit the movie location next week. Come to find out its the Harrison Ford movie that has been filming all over Oregon the past month!!
Today I received a confirmation of our visit! So, next Thursday I will be at the beach for a meet and greet with Harrison Ford, Keri Russell and Brendan Fraser! I'm really trying to keep my cool about this.... and not seem "star struck"or like a huge dork!
I will post photos next week and tell you all about it!!

Here is a link to the movie

Last night we took Jackson to Dove Lewis in NW Portland.
It all started about 2am when we were lying in bed. Jackson usually sleeps between us and tends to change positions several times throughout the night, last night was a little different. He kept bumping into my leg, so I rolled over to move him and see what he was doing. I stood him up so he would hopefully walk away, and he just fell down on his side and started to shake!
I was yelling at Dylan to wake up... all I could do was hold him. After about a minute he stopped. Dylan took him and I went into the office to pull up the phone # for Dove Lewis.
When I was looking for the phone # Jackson did it again, this time he threw-up and then started walking backwards, seeming very disoriented.

In true Jackson form he was fine by the time we got into NW Portland..
They ran some tests on him and we talked to the veterinarian on duty. He came to the conclusion he had a seizure. Also in true Jackson form, he scratched the veterinarian and bit the tech!
We will be taking him to our vet at the beach this week and running some more test, like a full body x-ray to look for tumors and have his blood work done!
Poor lil guy!!
He turned 9 in March and I know he is getting older, but I would like him around for another 9 years!

Here is some info on the TOWN PHOTO next week!

On Wednesday June 10 at the conclusion of the sculpting of Gulliver on the beach at the foot of Washington Street at 7pm there will be a Town Photo with Gulliver taken by George Vetter. George encourages everyone to wear blue on the bottom and white on the top. Everyone is asked to sign in prior to the photo. Upon signing in, each person will be given a sheet of paper with a number in bold print which that person will hold under their chin (for the first photo only) so that everyone can be identified later. If anyone would like to register ahead of time to avoid the last minute rush (recommended), please e-mail to get your number assigned. You will then be able to pick up your sheet on the beach. Because the sun will be in the West, it will be necessary to take the photo from the water side. Unless George finds a way to get high enough to look down on the crowd surrounding Gulliver, people behind the first couple rows will be hidden. In this case a second photo will be taken with everyone on the dune looking down at the camera. After the Town Photo, George asks that just the kids (16 and under) gather for a Town Kids Photo followed by one last photo of Town Pets and their Owners. Share this information with your friends and neighbors. The last Town Photo was taken in 2003 with 252 townspeople. It can be seen at
